Oncology

MedImmune has focused on building a solid foundation in the oncology arena in recent years. Our first marketed product, Ethyol^®, has become established as a unique drug that helps many cancer patients by reducing the impact of undesirable toxic side effects of certain chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments. Additional research is being conducted to investigate Ethyol's use in other indications that may allow cancer patients to withstand greater doses of potentially life-saving anti-cancer therapies. A number of additional development programs are underway with several promising new product candidates targeting a wide array of cancers, including cervical, breast, melanoma, prostate, and lymphoma.
